About

Formed in 2004 as an improvising duo, Fuzzy Lights are now a five piece band led by husband and wife Xavier & Rachel Watkins. Combining folk purity with psychedelic guitar noise, their 2008 reverb-soaked debut album ‘A Distant Voice’ was much praised by Plan B (“Just perfect”), Clash, Huw Stephens and Radio 3’s Late Junction. After touring in the first half of 2009 and playing shows with the likes of Evangelista, Vetiver, Willard Grant Conspiracy and James Blackshaw, the band took the rest of the year out to work on new material. They return with their highly-anticipated second album 'Twin Feathers'. Now featuring vocals more prominently, the record stands at the crossroads of 1960's British folk and haunted noise-rock. This unlikely intertwining truly defines Fuzzy Lights' sound.
